Woodlands Online’s Giving Tree Farm gives you an easy way to brighten the holidays for those in need
THE WOODLANDS, TX – Besides this week being the onset of the giving season of the holidays, it’s also the time of Giving Tuesday, an annual opportunity to get in your last-minute donations for the year.
Not only are you helping nonprofit organizations at their greatest yearly need on Giving Tuesday, but in return you can use a majority – or all – of your donations to lower your income level for tax purposes; there’s no shame in mixing altruism with good financial sense.
That being said, many people don’t have a ‘go-to’ nonprofit or cause, and they can become easily overwhelmed by requests for donations. The pressure to give to the proper cause can be enough for even the most kindhearted to freeze up.
Fortunately, Woodlands Online has done some research and contacted area nonprofits to survey their needs, and has put together a comprehensive list of the best ways you can do the best good. Our resulting Giving Tree Farm – sponsored by The Woodlands Methodist Church – is a quick, easy way to find a cause, entity, or organization to share a Christmas gift with this year.
We’ve contacted area non-profits to survey their needs this year. Browse below to see if they desire gift cards, money, necessities or gifts/toys this year. Use the links for more information.Let's get them ready for a great 2026 serving our community!
Among the organizations and entities that are on our tree are
- Angel Reach – providing services for at-risk youth
- Angels Loft – a resale store supporting Angel Reach programs
- Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County – bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope
- Inspiration Ranch – using horse therapy for special needs individuals
- Montgomery County Food Bank – providing food security to those who need it
- New Danville – a thriving community empowering adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- ReStore - Habitat For Humanity – offering resale items, home goods, and furniture at below-retail prices.
- The Woodlands Arts Council – dedicated to enriching our region through cultural and educational programming
- The Woodlands Children’s Museum – for decades the gathering spot of enthrallment for children and adults alike
- The Woodlands TX Young Life – fostering faith growth through adults who build friendships
Our Giving Tree Farm is easy to access and navigate; it lets you know immediately what needs each entity has – from money to toys to necessities to gift cards – and links to contact and donate to them.
