TownshipFuture sets next SpeakerSeries event for March 14

THE WOODLANDS, TX – TownshipFuture is pleased to announce the next presentation in its SpeakerSeries. The topic will be Residential Covenants and Design Standards in The Woodlands, and will take place virtually on Zoom on Tuesday March 14, 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

'Join us for a discussion of the legal framework of the Residential Covenants and Design Standards in The Woodlands, as well as an explanation of the process for requesting review and approval of your Village Residential Design Review Committee (RDRC) to proposed changes to your home and of appealing an adverse decision to the Development Standards Committee (DSC),' said TownshipFuture in a statement.

TownshipFuture's mission is to educate and advocate on key local issues, and to elect community-minded candidates running for non-partisan office.

Ironically, the virtual meeting will be held more than a week before a special election will take place to fill positions on the Design Review Committees for the villages of Cochran's Crossing and Creekside Park. The February election for these two positions was canceled due to errors on the respective ballots. Convenience voting will be held March 20 through March 24, and Election Day voting will be held Saturday, March 25, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The polling location for all voting for the Special Election will be held at The Woodlands
Township, 2801 Technology Forest Blvd.
