City of Shenandoah completes replacement of water pipes

SHENANDOAH, TX – The City of Shenandoah today announced that the Asbestos Cement Pipe (ACP) replacement for drinking water has been completed. This project replaced more than 4,000 linear feet of old water line with new PVC piping. Additionally, old fire hydrants were replaced.
'This improves the quality of the city’s water distribution system and puts the City closer to meeting a goal of replacing all ACP on the system by 2025,' city officials said in a statement.
The total project cost was $860,000.
