For the hardcore adventurers (and the spectators who cheer them on), it’s time for the annual Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Texas triathlon. Athletes will take on a 2.4-mile, point-to-point swim, a 112-mile bicycle ride on closed toll roads, and experience one of the most spirited 26.2-mile runs in North America. The swim begins at North Shore Park and ends in the canal at Town Green Park. For the bike ride, athletes will start their 112-mile journey by navigating part of The Woodlands, then enter into Northern Harris County. Once in Harris County, athletes will navigate two loops on the Hardy Toll Road. The concluding marathon run course takes place entirely within The Woodlands and concludes with a spectacular finish on Waterway Ave. If you’re not a participant or spectator, stay tuned to Woodlands Online for traffic updates… you’ll need them!
