THE WOODLANDS, TX – Woodlands Online proudly presents its annual Summer Camps Gude. This comprehensive, easy-to-use guide contains a list of dozens of camps available for your children of all ages this summer.

Here is a small sampling of some of the summer sensations being offered around The Woodlands area. Be sure to click on the links above or below to access the entire Guide.

Educational

Camp Cooper – This camp for students of The John Cooper School is designed to spark the imagination and engage the intellect while offering an equally important dose of fun and physical activity. The hallmarks of Camp Cooper include hands-on and collaborative educational activities, a wide variety of games and play, and small camp groups led by fun and caring counselors. The ‘AM Alternatives’ list of additional activities includes dance, tennis, chess, math, and drama.

Woodlands Test Prep’s Summer Classes – Sometimes your student needs a little nudge over the summer to retain the past year’s knowledge. Sometimes it’s never too early to start preparing to take some major tests. Woodlands Test Prep is offering small group classes to prep for the PSAT, SAT, and ACT exams. Zoom options are also available.

Science & Technology

Coach B’s Summer Science Caravan – Coach B offers the only STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)-focused summer camp in the area that exposes students to a multitude of engaging activities through more than ten field trips in a single week. From flight simulators to conducting experiments with a medical doctor, your camper will experience a range of immersive activities. Each activity is facilitated by an industry expert, and each van is limited to 14 students to ensure everyone is involved and safe.

LearnToBot – Get your child future-ready with the ultimate robotics & coding summer camp, taught by engineers. Your child will get hands-on experience building projects using lights, sounds, sensors, and motors and controlling them while writing their own code (Scratch for younger kids, Python for older kids). Example projects include Mini-Piano, RC Cars, Video game w/ self-built Joysticks & Gyroscopes. Your child gets to take the robotic kit home ($100 value, included in the camp price) to continue exploring.

Martial Arts & Gymnastics

Maximum Athletics Summer Gymnastics – Looking for a summer camp whose memory will last a lifetime? Come join Maximum Athletics for a week full of running, jumping, climbing, vaulting, scaling, and tumbling. There will be games, water fun, movie time, crafts, trampolines, obstacle courses, and more. At Maximum Athletics, their goal is to give campers a summer that they will remember for years to come. Whether they are looking to work on new skills or want to burn off some energy, MA will provide them with the equipment and the knowledge they need to succeed. Karate of The Woodlands – Martial arts classes benefit growing children far beyond the dojo and in many real-world scenarios. Karate of The Woodlands’ structured classes are meant to help develop coordination, physical fitness, mental strength, as well as gain valuable social skills. Through positive reinforcement, they can bring out the best in your children to help them succeed in life. This longtime Woodlands martial arts studio is led by an amazing teacher who just so happens to be good friends with Chuck Norris himself…

Live Life in Color Art Summer Camp – Cordovan Art School is proud to report that its Live Life in Color series has been voted the best art camps. Classes available for three different age groups: 5 - 7, 8 - 12, 12 - 16. Year after year, Cordovan Art School has been the leader in creative art camps in The Woodland. Select from more than 40 themed camps: Live Animals, Video Game Art, Super Heroes & Villains, Fantasy Art, Space Art, Pets, Pokemon, Underwater & Sea Life, and Anime, are just a few. School of Rock Music Camps & Workshops – Do you want your kiddos to learn how to play in a band or learn to write songs? School of Rock The Woodlands offers a wide variety of music camps and workshops that cover topics such as these. From beginner music camps to intermediate and advanced sessions, their music camps and workshops will further a student's musical foundation. Most of the camps end with a live show performed by the campers. Perfect for musicians of any skill level who want to play guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, and vocals. Athletics & Activities

TotalTech Summer Camps – Don’t let the name fool you; TotalTech is a comprehensive outdoor soccer camp program. Camps are for players aged 5 - 13 years old. Each camp has a specific developmental focus and players are placed into groups depending on age and experience to create a competitive but enjoyable atmosphere that encourages social growth.

YMCA Summer Camps – With three Woodlands-area locations, YMCA summer day camp participants will make their mark while having a blast in a safe, enriching environment, surrounded by positive role models. The Y’s focus on achievement, relationships, and belonging will help your child make new friends, develop independence and try new things. Activities may include sports and outdoor games, creative and performing arts, archery, engineering, and nature exploration.They are committed to keeping their participants and staff safe and healthy, and the procedures that will be in place include restricted access to childcare/camp spaces to only staff and participants, and small group sizes with a 1:6 ratio for 5-year-olds and a 1:10 ratio for ages 6 - 15 years.
