THE WOODLANDS, TX – One of the Houston Metropolitan area’s most anticipated food-related events is happening August 1 through September 4, and more than two dozen Woodlands-area restaurants are taking part. Houston Restaurant Weeks, celebrating its 20th anniversary of providing meals and deals to raise funds and awareness for the Houston Food Bank, is featuring more than 200 restaurants that will participate and serve specially priced, multi-course prix fixe menus for brunch ($25), lunch ($25), or dinner ($39 or $55), available for dine-in and take-out.

Here’s a handy list of eateries and establishments you’ll enjoy for this annual fundraiser

Houston Restaurant Weeks is the largest annual fundraiser for the Houston Food Bank, the nation’s largest food bank, and has raised more than $18.8 million to date, which equates to 56.4 million meals that have gone to help those who are food insecure in the region. Every dollar donated during this special week generates three meals courtesy of the Houston Food Bank.

Diners wishing to participate in Houston Restaurant Weeks can enjoy an easy process: simply find a restaurant from the list below (or visit the Houston Restaurant Weeks website for a comprehensive list of the entire Houston region), reserve a spot for brunch, lunch, or dinner between August 1 and September 4, and show up.

The Week was founded in 2003 by the late Cleverley Stone, who made it her life’s mission to beat hunger in Houston. Stone was a 26-year restaurant correspondent and former host of “The Cleverley Food Talk Radio Show,” a freewheeling talk show about food, wine, dining, and issues influencing the food scene at national and local levels. A Who’s Who of celebrity chefs, restaurant industry illuminati, stars of The Food Network and journalists made guest appearances alongside up-and-coming local chefs and restaurateurs. This led to her being a popular contributor to FOX26/KRIV Morning News in Houston for many years.

Houston Restaurant Weeks is carried on by her daughter Katie Stone in memory of her mother, who passed away in 2020 following a lengthy battle with cancer. In 2020, Katie Stone established The Cleverley Stone Foundation, which exists to continue her mission and legacy.
