Is your teen struggling with back-to-school anxiety? Help them take charge of their worries and embrace a confident return to the classroom with The Woodlands Behavioral Health & Wellness Center’s “Back to School” teen support group. This group is designed specifically to address back-to-school anxiety using the evidence-based approach of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). In this group, teens will learn practical techniques to identify negative thought patterns, challenge them, and replace them with positive, helpful thoughts. Anxiety can manifest as overwhelming emotions, which is why this group will also focus on teaching effective strategies to manage emotions, regulate stress, and develop resilience. By fostering emotional intelligence, teens can be empowered to navigate challenging situations with confidence. Girls entering 7th -8th grades: Tuesdays, 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. through August 29.

Bring your little artists to The Woodlands Children's Museum for their Looking at Art Lady Presentation today at 11:00 a.m. Come learn and laugh with art history! Children and adults will enjoy this light-hearted journey through art history. Famous paintings throughout time will plant a seed of interest in the fine arts for you and your child. They will briefly talk about each painting but quickly shift to giggles as each piece will have a parody version. Children will be introduced to various pop culture faces and characters in the parody while subtly remembering the original piece. Included in the price of admission, which is $8 for adults and children 1 year and older.

It may be hot as Hades out there with this devilish weather, but the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion may have the cool cure when they host heavy metal band Pantera, a band from Arlington near Dallas that’s been rocking the rafters since 1981. Sharing the stage with Lamb of God. When you grab your tickets, be sure to read up on the pavilion’s holier-than-thou bag restrictions.
