THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Sunday, August 13th marked the 13th Annual Meet the Dragons event, where The John Cooper School community was introduced to the athletes and coaches of this school year’s Cheer, Cross Country, Football, and Volleyball teams.

“This is a village. We take care of each other and support each other,” said Football Program Director Coach Eric DeHaven.

Cheerleaders brought the energy, pumping up the crowd and leading them in a Cooper cheer.

“It’s great to see our students back on campus for another exciting athletic season,” said John Hoye, Director of Athletics.

Cooper’s Volleyball team will play a home game against Frassati Catholic School on Tuesday, August 15. “That’s your homework assignment,” Hoye told the crowd. “Pack the stands!”

The Dragon Cross Country team prepares to get their season started on August 25 at Friday Night Lights followed by the annual Dragon Invitational at Burroughs Park.

Be sure to check out our athletics page at johncooper.org for a full list of game schedules. Bring your families out to support our athletes and show our Dragon pride!
