Constable Gable's Deputies arrest gang of Mail Box Thieves in the Imperial Oaks Subdivision

SPRING, TX -- Around 2:30 AM, Constable Ryan Gable's deputies responded to a Suspicious Person's call in the 30300 block of Nanton Drive in the Imperial Oaks Subdivision. The caller said they could see somebody stealing mail out of the community mail boxes along the street, with some object, and leaving in a red truck. When deputies arrived in the area, a truck matching the suspect's vehicle was seen driving from the area along Imperial Oaks Blvd toward Rayford Road.
Deputies made a traffic stop on the red truck and detained two males and one female, after seeing multiple pieces of mail scattered throughout the interior of the truck. After searching the truck and the detained persons, drugs were found in possession of the driver and the female. The driver identified as, 51 year old Richard L. May, the male passenger identified as, 39 year old Terry R. Ainsworth and the female passenger identified as, 37 year old Theresa M. Jones were all arrested for Mail Theft. Additionally, Richard was charged with Possession of a Dangerous Drug. Terry was charged with Possession of Burglary Tools, Theresa was charged with Possession of Identifying Information, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Controlled Substance and Possession of Burglary Tools.
The vehicle was towed and all were transferred to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office jail in Conroe after receiving medical treatment. There is ongoing investigation at Constable Gable's Office due to the arrest and other items found in the truck; additional questions about the case are being referred to Detective Espinosa (281-364-4211) Case#23E039193
