THE WOODLANDS, TX – Unbelievably (or not), we’re actually going to end back up in the low 90s for our high temperatures over the next couple of days as a warm, wet front moves in. We’ll start the end of the workweek bright and warm, but expect something cloudier and cooler by the end of the weekend.

The warm weather returns for daytime, but expect some cool overnights and clouds on the horizon

While Friday will be bright and warm, the humidity is already plummeting, which means the high of 93 won’t feel any warmer with a heat index. Some moderate winds will cool things down a tad, but the UV index will be through the roof, so dress and slather up with SPF accordingly. To reap the benefits of both worlds, hit Deacon Baldy’s for their all-weekend Birthday Bash – covered from the rains but open to the breezes and perfect for celebration. Like any other desert, the daytime heat will evaporate and our overnight low will actually drop nearly 40 degrees down to 57.

Saturday will be slightly warmer – only a degree or so – not helped by the blanket of clouds that will be moving in throughout the morning. Within just a few short hours, the temps will shoot up from the 50s into the low 90s. Surprisingly, the clouds aren’t expected to bring any precipitation with them, so enjoy some partly cloudy and dry skies all day long. Perfect plundering weather, if you’re in a mood for the Texas Renaissance Festival’s Pirate Adventure weekend. Overnight, however, things will stay warmer and the low will only get down to 66.

On Sunday, the cloud coverage will be near-complete. It won’t be as warm – a high of only 88 – but there will be humidity and an accompanying heat index. There’s the slightest chance of a few raindrops throughout the morning, but nothing that will put a damper on the weekend. In fact, the Cochran’s Crossing Village Association Fall Festival is the perfect free event for the family to enjoy. However, the warmer weather that will persist into the night – with a low of 70 – and the clouds will presage a stormy Monday…
