Spring Creek Chapter NSDAR Supports Conroe VA Clinic

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Spring Creek Chapter NSDAR celebrated DAR National Day of Service by continuing to support the Conroe VA outpatient clinic. This is the 6th year that Spring Creek has done a project for the clinic. This year our members outdid themselves by donating almost $3000 in tangible items, donations, and services. The members of Spring Creek donated items on the clinic’s wish list. This consisted of items like sleeping bags, hats, underwear, sweatpants, toiletries, gloves, puzzles, and snacks. The chapter supplied 2 wheelchairs and one walker. Diane Hill worked with Donna Hunter to create vinyl iron-on labels for all of the clinic’s canvas wheelchairs and painted stencils for the vinyl wheelchair to help the clinic keep track of their equipment. VA Volunteer Liaison, Syreta Stewart was happy to work with the chapter and accept our donation. Spring Creek Chapter is happy to support our veterans and continue this important DAR mission.
