The Woodlands Township Veterans Day Tribute - UPDATED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Due to forecasted inclement weather and potential for unfavorable park conditions, The Woodlands Township Veterans Day Tribute has been relocated to The Woodlands Fire Department Central Fire Station. The event will begin on Saturday, November 11 at 3 p.m. and will include a Presentation of Colors, Keynote Speaker LTC Raissa Sanchez (U.S. Army), remarks and reading of proclamation by the Chairman and Treasurer of The Woodlands Township Board of Directors. Please refer to the updated timeline below. NOTE - The event will not feature live music or other activities due to the location change.

Event Timeline

3:00 p.m. - Tentative Performance
3:05 p.m. - Opening Remarks & Announcements (Dr. Ann Snyder, Chairman of The Woodlands Township Board of Directors)

  • Presentation of Colors and National Anthem (WFD Honor Guard and Liv Garcia)
  • Reading of Proclamation

3:10 p.m. - Introduction of Keynote Speaker (Richard Franks, Treasurer of The Woodlands Township Board of Directors)
3:15 p.m. - Keynote Speaker Lt. Colonel Raissa Sanchez (U.S. Army)
3:25 p.m. - Closing Remarks (Dr. Ann Snyder)
3:30 p.m. - Event Concludes

A Care Package Drop-Off Booth will be onsite throughout the event to accept donations of recommended items to be shipped to the troops. Click HERE to view a list of recommended items.

Limited parking, including accessible parking, is available onsite at 9951 Grogan's Mill Road.
