THE WOODLANDS, TX – The floodapocalypse that was predicted for earlier this week fizzled in the drizzle, thankfully. But slicking the roads isn’t enough, and there’s some more to come this weekend.

Grey and wet, but too warm for snow

The rest of your Friday will just get cooler and greyer. We already hit the day’s high of 68; we’re in the middle of a temperature dip, then it’ll rise to the high again, but by lunchtime the mercury will be in a downward spiral. The clouds will hang around all day and evening, and will threaten to bring some rain, particular in the dinner hour and later. Play it safe and stay indoors at Dosey Doe - The Big Barn to catch The Josh Weathers Band Christmas Show on stage. Fortunately, the steadily rising pressure front will slowly but surely make things drier and brighter.

The overnight low of 58 will creep up to a Saturday of 72, and the falling humidity means there won’t be any additional warmth due to a heat index. By sunrise, the rain chances will have dropped to near-nil, but the grey clouds will hang around for the next several days. Moderate winds will make this a nice autumn day for outdoors for anywhere else but Texas. Enjoy the seasonal evening at Hughes Landing for this month’s Artfeel event.

We’ll actually get down into the 40s sometime Saturday night or Sunday morning. The dew point and humidity alike will take a collective nosedive, making for a mostly cloudy day – with the sun daring to peek through from time to time – with highs in the low 70s and lows in the high 40s. As soon as sundown hits, head on out to Woodlands Church for their gorgeous Festival of Lights.

As we get into the work week, expect some cooler, brighter, and drier weather, but beware another round of the wet stuff next weekend…
