THE WOODLANDS, TX – Humid, warm, and sticky weather has no business hovering around The Woodlands in December, but here we are. The overnight low will barely drop 10 degrees from our high today of 77. The pressure has bottomed out, and a high dew point and humidity factor under cloudy skies are making this most unseasonable. Fortunately, the chances of rain today are slim. Take advantage of the weather by watching a holiday movie at an outdoors amphitheater that’s NOT the Pavilion!

Overnight and into tomorrow, however, expect some scattered wet stuff throughout the region, wherever you may go. As Saturday morning morphs into afternoon, the dew point will plummet as the pressure system gets greater. Coupled with the remaining high humidity, you can expect some thunderstorms throughout Saturday evening along with a rapidly plummeting temperature that will hit from an afternoon high of 78 to an overnight low of 43 in a matter of hours. Despite the threatening weather, The Woodlands Christian Academy is hosting Christmas in the Woods, which will feature things like a live nativity.

On Sunday, it will be a lot chillier and brighter. The winds will kick up in the morning and help blow the clouds away as the chances of rain go away. Our high will only get up to 60, and there just might be a freeze warning that night for the overnight low that might make it down to 32. Bundle up your pets that day and head out to Woodlands Eco Realty for their Santa Paws photos with Santa day!

The higher pressure will stay that way for a few days, ensuring a cool, bright week ahead, but next weekend we might expect some more rains under much colder temperatures…

Stay tuned for weather updates from Woodlands Online, and be sure to check us out on Monday for our “Week Ahead” forecast.
