At long last, it’s time for the Open Mic Season 2 Finals at The Dosey Doe Breakfast, BBQ & Whiskey Bar, taking place tonight at 6:30 p.m. Doors open at 6; come in early – the kitchen is open! General admission is only $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Come cheer on your favorite musical and entertainment acts to victory!

The Chambers Creek Jingle Bell Bazaar takes place today from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. You may not be dashing through the snow, but you will be laughing all the way as Chambers Creek invites residents, future neighbors, family, and friends to join in for a jolly good time. The Woodlands Symphony proudly announces their 2023 Christmas Concert, Messiah by George Frideric Handel. Collaborating with The Woodlands Chorale, the WSO and choir have curated an abridged version of Messiah with the most exciting arias and choruses including everyone’s favorite, the Hallelujah Chorus. The concert features the WSO’s authentic chamber style orchestra, four soloists and a seventy-piece choir. The WSO’s tradition of performing Handel’s Messiah with the Woodlands Chorale spans a 25-year period, with this performance being the first since 2017. The Woodlands Symphony felt the time was right to bring this magnificent composition back to the people of The Woodlands area. Get your tickets now!

Deck the halls and party hearty, because it’s Sawyer Park Ice House’s 3rd annual Christmas at the Park celebration, an all-day event taking place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be real snow, a snow slide, pictures with Santa (received instantly), train rides, crafts, vendors for last minute holiday shopping, and much more. Additionally, all week long, registration is open for the 2024 Woodlands Art Council Student Art Scholarship applications, taking place all week (and well into January). This year, graduating seniors are asked to submit a portfolio of three pieces of their work digitally by January 23, 2024 and then to attend a short interview about their process February 10, 2024. Submitted pieces must be original and one-of-a-kind visual or literary works of art. Some limits apply please see the website for more details. Scholarship winners will be announced February 14, 2024 and winning pieces will be gathered into the second annual Student Art Scholarship Anthology magazine.
