MONTGOMERY, TX --

We would like to provide an update on the ongoing investigation into the animal cruelty incident that occurred recently. The homeowners involved in the incident have been cooperating fully with law enforcement authorities. It is important to note that both homeowners are animal lovers and are deeply upset about what has transpired.

Upon further investigation, it has been determined that neither homeowner was present at the residence when the attack took place. This information is crucial in understanding the circumstances surrounding the incident.

We appreciate the support and cooperation of the community during this difficult time.

On January 3, 2024, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office received multiple calls of animal cruelty being reported at the 100 block of Hall Drive in Montgomery, TX. Callers advised of a gruesome video being posted on social media showing multiple dogs attacking another dog. At this time, we do not have conclusive information regarding whether this was an intentional attack by the dog's owner or an inter-dog aggression attack.

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office District 4 Detectives and Montgomery County Constables Precinct 2 Animal Cruelty Investigation Unit are currently on scene investigating the incident. We are utilizing all available resources to investigate the situation thoroughly.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office takes all incidents of animal abuse seriously. We will ensure that any form of animal abuse is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
