Miles Fridrich indicted for the murder of Dr. Talat Jehan Khan

CONROE, TX -- On Thursday, January 18th, 2024, a Montgomery County Grand Jury handed down an indictment against Miles Joseph Fridrich, 24, for the first degree offense of murder. Mr. Fridrich is alleged to have murdered Dr. Talat Jehan Khan on October 28th, 2023, by attacking Dr. Khan outside her apartment complex.


Prompt response by officers with the Conroe Police Department led to the swift arrest of Fridrich within 400 yards of the crime scene. The Conroe Police Department and the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office subsequently investigated the murder more thoroughly and continue to do so. As of this date, investigators have discovered no conclusive evidence of any specific motive for the attack on Dr. Khan.


Miles Joseph Fridrich is detained in the Montgomery County Jail, where he has been in custody since the date of the murder, held on a $500,000 bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for January 29th at 9.00 a.m. in the 9th District Court.


Authorities remain committed to pursuing justice in this case and continuing to explore all aspects of the murder in hopes of shedding light on the circumstances surrounding the tragic death of Dr. Khan.
