SPRING, TX -- The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) is releasing this new age progressed image to show what Alexandria “Ali” Lowitzer may look like today before her 30th birthday on February 3, 2024. Her mom, JoAnn Lowitzer, hopes this image will generate new information surrounding her daughter’s disappearance.

Ali mysteriously vanished from her hometown in Spring, Texas on April 26, 2010. On that Monday after school, Ali told her mom that she was going to walk to the Burger Barn, where she worked, to pick up her paycheck. Surveillance video from Ali’s school bus confirms that she got off at her stop around 3:00 p.m. This was the last time Ali was seen.

JoAnn has never lost hope throughout the years, and even transformed her pain to raise awareness of all those who are missing. In 2015, JoAnn founded National Missing Persons Day which falls every year on Ali’s birthday.

“My daughter Ali has been missing for almost 14 years. February 3rd, we remember her as we observe National Missing Persons Day at our event in Houston. When I speak about her it’s still emotional for me. The saying “time heals all wounds” … this wound will stay open until she comes home. Most days we go through the robotic motions of getting up each day and going to work, but always in the forefront of my mind is the burning question, where is she? There will always be an empty chair in our house and missing peace in our hearts. If she is out there, I hope she is fighting just a hard as we are to bring her home. We love and miss her every second of every day.” – JoAnn Lowitzer

JoAnn is holding a ceremony in honor of Ali and all of the missing. She welcomes families who have missing loved ones to come to this year’s event. See details below:
