THE WOODLANDS, TX – Our Friday has started off benign enough, but rest assured some storm clouds are on the horizon. In fact, we’re moments away from the possibility of some raindrops splattering on the windshield. And shortly after the five o’clock whistle blows, the chances of heavier precipitation go up significantly with each passing minute as our temperature goes from the high of 74 rapidly into the 60s and 50s. Maybe you’ll want to relieve some pent-up work stress by hitting Copendero Indoor Archery, Pistol, & Rifle Range to let loose a few hundred rounds at a target for their Full Auto Friday.

We’ll go from deluge to rainbows in a matter of hours

As the evening progresses, the odds of rain get better and better, and by sunrise tomorrow morning we’ll be at 100 percent. The winds and humidity will keep things chilly until the clouds start to disperse, taking the wet stuff with them. The Saturday morning thunderstorms will give way to sunny skies with moderate winds and a high of 70. By the time the skies completely clear up in the evening, the temperature will rapidly drop to a low of 47. Since the weather will be so all-over-the-map, hit an indoor/outdoor venue like Sawyer Park Ice House to catch an amazing AC/DC tribute band.

Sunday will be mostly sunny with winds kicking up to about 15 mph, keeping the winter feel alive as the mercury struggled to get up to 67. Embrace the chill by hitting Fielding’s Wood Grill for their Hot Chocolate Features Days. As you prepare for Monday to start, expect more of the same, but plan for some more rain hitting later on in the week…

Stay tuned for weather updates from Woodlands Online, and be sure to check us out on Monday for our “Week Ahead” forecast.
