Moors & McCumber to perform at Madeley Gallery on March 7 for CAL event

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Longtime vocal harmony dur Moors & McCumber will be giving a special, intimate performance at Conroe Art League on Thursday, March 7, at 7:00 p.m. Conroe Art League is located in the Madeley Fine Art Gallery in downtown Conroe, 127 Simonton Street in Conroe.

The sound of Moors & McCumber is adventurous, eclectic, and endlessly creative. Borrowing from rock, pop, blues, folk, and world music, the two multi-instrumentalists embrace spontaneity to bring their stories and songs to life. Their strong vocal harmonies and unconventional instrumentation combine to create a mesmerizing experience. At the center of it all is their evocative songwriting. As Grammy award-winning producer Lloyd Maines has said, “They bring it all to the stage and deliver in a big way.

Additionally, Conroe Art League has been selected to receive a microgrant from The Woodlands Arts Council to conduct a free Introduction to Oil Painting workshop to high school seniors. This workshop is being given to Willis and Cold Springs High School seniors. All supplies are provided and each student will go home with their own oil painting kit.

Conroe Art League’s goal is to support artists at every level and to promote art in the community, providing educational classes and workshops for adults and youth, offering opportunities for shared art experiences, providing scholarships for continuing art education, sponsoring exhibits and juried shows throughout the community, and encouraging patrons to support and purchase works of artists through gallery events and multi-media marketing efforts.
