The Woodlands Township spraygrounds open March 1 for the 2024 season

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Water playgrounds, also known as spraygrounds, provide great opportunities for outdoor family fun. No matter how hot it gets, people of all ages can enjoy splashing in these colorful and imaginative water amenities. The six spraygrounds, managed by The Woodlands Township, will open daily for the 2024 season, starting March 1 through October 31, 2024, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

"As the Bear Branch Sprayground prepares to open in March, we celebrate more than just a new recreational spot," said Township Chairman Dr. Ann K. Snyder. "With its expansive size and charming bear and animal-themed water features, this sprayground becomes a symbol of community enrichment and enhanced quality of life. Park amenities like these aren't just places to cool off; they're vital threads in the fabric of our community, weaving together moments of joy, fostering social connections, and ensuring that every resident has access to the simple pleasures that make life in The Woodlands so special."

All the spraygrounds in The Woodlands feature whimsical designs and are sure to capture the creativity of young children at play. Did you know our spraygrounds water is recirculated making it more environmentally sound? These spraygrounds, or splash pads, are also designed so that standing water does not collect, which reduces risk of drowning, making them perfect for children of all ages. All Township spraygrounds utilize sanitized, chemically treated water that is tested and monitored daily.
