THE WOODLANDS, TX – The winds are currently peaking out at around 15 miles per hour from the south as both the humidity and pressure front reverse course and start climbing. As we hit our afternoon high of 84 – with three degreed added to the high humidity – there will be some chance of rain coming through that will increase overnight under near-total cloud cover.

As you wake up Tuesday morning to the overnight low of 68, the rains will be leaving and the skies clearing up. Steadily rising pressure over the next few days will help to give us sunnier skies and warmer temperatures. By midafternoon, it should be sun (and then moon) unobscured all the way as we get down into the low 50s for a low.

On Wednesday, there won’t be a cloud in the sky and a dip in the humidity, leaving us with a high of only 75, exacerbated by moderate winds from the northwest. It will feel decidedly springlike that evening as the mercury plummets down to the upper 40s for a low.

The bright, cloudless motif continues on Thursday, with clear, sunny skies and a high temperature of 80. The winds will have died down for the most part to gentle occasional breezes. Look for another low hovering around the 50-degree mark.

The work week will end in a mild transition; while the morning will start off warm and bright like the previous two days, with a high under mostly sunny skies getting up to 82 degrees, the clouds will make a return performance in the afternoon and evening and only grow in coverage for the next several days. It will be outright muggy Friday night with a low about 10 degrees higher than the night before.

And it’s a pretty safe bet that at least some of your weekend and early next week will be punctuated by some thunderstorms…

Stay tuned to Woodlands Online for our Weekend Weather report coming on Friday.
