With luck, the storms have left us behind, but the summer heat is already raising its hand demanding attention. Whether you want to keep cool indoors or bask in the sun outside, The Woodlands has some amazing events for you. Here’s our weekly list of our top five favorites.

Tuesday, May 21
Boogie Bash will shake its thing today at The Woodlands Children’s Museum in the Panther Creek shopping center at 11 a.m. with ‘Moving Through Art,’ a celebration of the world of art and color through songs and creative movement activities. This fun event is included in the price of admission, which is $9 for adults and children 1 year and older. The museum is open Tuesdays through Thursdays 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Fridays 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., and Saturdays 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., and is closed Sundays and Mondays.

Come join The Woodlands Township Parks & Recreation Department to commemorate the commencement of summer at the yearly Memorial Day in The Woodlands festival. This Sunday gathering honors the memory of fallen military personnel who bravely served the United States. The festival features live music, children’s activities, strolling entertainment, and more at Town Green Park. The evening concludes with a dazzling fireworks display choreographed to a patriotic soundtrack. Concessions will be available for purchase. Coolers, picnic baskets, blankets, and lawn chairs are permitted. Glass is prohibited.
