Boogie Bash at The Woodlands Children’s Museum presents ‘Moving Around the World’ starting at 11 a.m. Kids will be ‘traveling’ around the world through a variety of musical movement activities. Stops include Mexico (‘Mexican Hat Dance’), Japan (rhythm stick fun to ‘Haru Ga Kita’), and France (dancing to ‘Sur le Pont d’Avignon’). Included in the price of admission, which is $9 for adults and children 1 year and older.

The nationally acclaimed Water Lantern Festival, named 2023 Best Cultural Festival by USA TODAY 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards, is returning to City Place. The memorable experience centers around the opportunity for guests to personally design LED candle-lit lanterns – adorning them with messages of love, hope, healing and peace – and sending them off to float alongside thousands of others in City Place Park’s main pond in a magical night-time display. Highlights of the popular event include food trucks, music, vendors and games. Open to the public and free to attend, tickets to take part in the lantern elements are available with a portion of proceeds benefiting Water.org, a global nonprofit organization that helps people in need get access to safe water and sanitation.
