THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The third annual The Walk event saw a record-breaking sell-out crowd at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center. The venue was spectacularly transformed into a shimmering sea of iridescent hues, adorned with geodes. This electric event raised funds for Interfaith of The Woodlands vital community programs, generating more than $550,000 to support the neighbors of South Montgomery County.

“We sincerely thank everyone who attended The Walk 2024! Your presence made it an incredible evening of fashion, community, and generosity. Thanks to your kindness, Interfaith was able to raise critical funds that will aid in serving our neighbors in crisis going into our busiest season of the year,” said Missy Herndon, President & CEO, Interfaith of The Woodlands. “This is only one of two major fund raisers we host for Interfaith, and these funds will be immediately deployed to meet the over 40% increase in need for food and crisis assistance we experienced over the summer.”

Before the evening of fashion commenced, guests were able to learn more about Interfaith’s programs and services through a video showcasing all of the various ways’ Interfaith comes along side, and wraps around individuals in crisis. From job training to new backpacks, from food to rent/mortgage assistance, Interfaith supports neighbors, touching on every aspect of that person’s life – truly making this a ‘fashion for a cause,” event.

Saks Fifth Avenue headlined the New York Style Runway Fashion Show that was creatively led by renowned Houston-based fashion show producer, Lenny Matuszewski and Senior Fashion Stylist, Tamara Klosz Bonar. Guests lined up on both sides of the runway to cheer and celebrate this year’s Community Champions, presented by St. Luke’s Health, in the Runway Finale. Each Champion was selected based upon the positive impact on The Woodlands community, and to Interfaith specifically: Jim Carman, Taylor Handfelt, Bret Strong, Julie & Scott Lile, Dr. Scott Greenberg, Alison Yee, Courtney Pell Wilkerson, Amber Scheer, and Pat Seder.

The Walk’s vibrant After Party was sponsored by The Kink Team Real Estate Group and headlined by DJ LeRon The Don, who kept the energy high with fantastic music. Guests enjoyed a 360-degree photo booth, exclusive after-party hats, late-night bites, and LED swings perfect for capturing iconic photos! Co-chaired by Carrie Greenberg and Kristen Byrnes, their vision for this year’s "Iridescent: Be Iridescently You" theme came to life, with attendees donning a stunning mix of fun textures, soft pastels, shimmering sequins, and reflective elements. The Best Dressed Competition, a friendly rivalry among nominees, raised a $67,635, doubling last year’s amount, with Dr. Adrienne Blessing claiming the top spot by raising $27,050.
