TxDOT announces Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee Quarterly Meeting for Nov. 22

THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Texas Department of Transportation has announced it is hosting a virtual public meeting with an in-person option at the location listed below to advise the Transportation Commission on policies affecting bicyclists and pedestrians, with eleven members representing diverse backgrounds, serving voluntary three-year terms.

For in-person attendees, the meeting will take place at the TxDOT Auditorium, 6230 East Stassney Lane, Austin, TX 78744.

TxDOT's Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) advises the Transportation Commission on bicycle and pedestrian issues to help ensure the bicyclists' and pedestrians' perspectives are considered in the development of departmental policies affecting bicycle use and pedestrian activity, including the design, construction, and maintenance of roadways. The BPAC is comprised of bicycle and pedestrian enthusiasts who represent various backgrounds and perspectives from across the state. Eleven members are selected by the Commission to serve voluntary, three-year terms.

The Committee's meetings are open to the public. Meeting documents, including agendas and transcripts of previous meetings, are posted on TxDOT’s BPAC webpage.

The BPAC meeting will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided for you. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs.
