MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX --Cryptocurrency scams are targeting victims through fake investment platforms, social media, romance scams, and impersonation schemes. If you or someone you know has fallen victim, act quickly.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office urges all victims to file a report with the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) as soon as possible: https://www.ic3.gov/Home/ComplaintChoice

When filing your report, include:
• Website(s) or platform(s) involved
• Crypto wallet address(es)
• Phone number(s) or email(s) used
• Screenshots of communication or transactions
• Scammer's name or username
• Any related social media accounts
The more details you provide, the better the chance of identifying and stopping the scam.
