Lightning Sparks Multiple Structure Fires Across Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- Firefighters across Montgomery County worked tirelessly overnight as a fast-moving thunderstorm with intense lightning ignited five structure fires between 2:00 and 4:00 AM.

The Woodlands Fire Department responded to multiple calls, assisting the Magnolia Fire Department with a blaze at the 6400 block of Pine Heights and the Spring Fire Department with a fire near Rayford Road and Augusta Pines Parkway.

Additional fires were reported at:

  • 11200 block of FM 830 – North Montgomery County Fire Department

  • 23000 block of Camelia Birch – East Montgomery County Fire Department

  • 3900 block of Wonder Crossing – South Montgomery County Fire Department

Fire crews worked quickly to contain the fires, preventing further damage and ensuring the safety of residents. Authorities urge residents to remain vigilant during severe weather events and to have emergency plans in place.
