The Woodlands Fire Department Responds to Overnight Garage Fire in Cochran’s Crossing

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Just before 1:00 AM on April 4, 2025, The Woodlands Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire on E. Wedgewood Glen in the Village of Cochran’s Crossing.

Engine 101 was the first unit to arrive on scene and found a detached garage fully involved, with flames threatening both the primary residence and a neighboring home. Firefighters quickly deployed multiple hose lines to protect the nearby structures and suppress the fire.

Thanks to the swift and coordinated efforts of fire crews, the blaze was brought under control within 30 minutes. Occupants of both threatened homes were safely evacuated with the assistance of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. There were no reported injuries.

The detached garage and two vehicles sustained heavy damage, and a nearby fence was also affected. Fortunately, both homes experienced only minor heat damage to their exterior surfaces.

Montgomery County Hospital District also responded to the scene to provide support.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
