THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Signorelli Company, developer of the 1,400-acre Valley Ranch community, is proud to announce its latest contribution of $300,000 to the East Montgomery County Improvement District (EMCID) Scholarship Foundation. This annual gift supports Montgomery County high school graduates and GED recipients pursuing higher education.

The check presentation was held on Tuesday, April 29, at Valley Ranch Town Center in New Caney, TX.

As a legacy donor, The Signorelli Company has contributed over $2.8 million to the scholarship foundation. These contributions are made possible by the continued dynamic growth of The Signorelli Company’s Valley Ranch development and its extensive retail, dining and entertainment offerings.

“We are delighted to support East Montgomery County’s next generation in their pursuit of higher education, not only for the benefit of these young people, but also for the future of East Montgomery County,” said Danny Signorelli, CEO of The Signorelli Company. “Our company believes in giving back and the continued success of Valley Ranch is even more gratifying because we’re helping the community’s future leaders achieve their goals too.”

The EMCID Scholarship Foundation awards scholarships annually to all high school graduates and GED recipients within the 158-square-mile boundaries of the East Montgomery County Improvement District. Since 2004, the foundation has awarded 10,033 scholarships, helping students pursue their college, trade school and certification program goals.

'This opportunity is something that student should know about, especially because it's so easy to apply for, ' said Sarah Humphrey, student at Lone Star College Kingwood studying to become a nurse. 'This scholarship has helped me cover the costs of books and other expenses, and I'm just really grateful this kind of support is available. It's really made a difference in my academic journey.'

Recipients may use the $1,600 scholarship at any accredited college, university or trade school in Texas or across the country. Students who attend Lone Star College receive the funds directly. For institutions outside the Lone Star College system, the scholarship is reimbursed. Interested students can apply here.

A $500 merit-based scholarship is available to previous recipients of EMCID Scholarship funds who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and financial need. High school seniors are also eligible for a paid internship when offered.

Valley Ranch Continues Quality Growth

The Valley Ranch community continues to expand, meeting the rapid growth of Montgomery County. Valley Ranch Town Center, a 1.75-million-square-foot shopping district at the intersection of Highway 69 and the Grand Parkway in New Caney, TX, attracts 11 million visitors annually and is Houston’s most visited open-air shopping center, according to Placer.ai.

Recently announced projects include a new, state-of-the-art 210,000-square-foot convention center in the Valley Ranch Entertainment District. Once fully developed, the Entertainment District will add about 1 million square feet to Valley Ranch and includes these attractions:

Cinemark Theater, 40,000 square feet;
Lumos, 45,000-square-foot high-tech entertainment venue opening Summer 2025;
The Hill at Valley Ranch, an outdoor, multi-purpose entertainment venue;
Randall Reed Stadium;
New Caney ISD Natatorium; and
Hope Media Group, corporate headquarters for Christian ministry with multiple media brands and state-of-the-art broadcast studios opening Summer 2025.

Along with 3.5 million square feet of retail, office, entertainment, restaurant and mixed-use space, the Valley Ranch community has over 2,000 single-family and multifamily homes with plans to develop more in the future.

The Signorelli Company builds and develops across all nine counties in the Greater Houston area and has expanded its new home construction business into the San Antonio market. For 30 years, The Signorelli Company has developed an extensive portfolio that includes Valley Ranch and five additional master planned communities in Montgomery County, along with a growing presence across Greater Houston and Texas. Dozens of developments are in progress along with a future pipeline of more than 32,000 lots, including Austin Point, its transformative satellite city in Fort Bend County. This portfolio positions The Signorelli Company as a Texas leader in large-scale master-planned development, bringing dynamic, sustainable communities to life across the state.
