Shenandoah Police Locate Stolen Vehicle, Arrest Two After Pursuit
SHENANDOAH, TX -- Over the weekend, officers with the Shenandoah Police Department successfully recovered a stolen vehicle and arrested two individuals following a vehicle pursuit.
The incident began when SHPD officers located a stolen vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. The driver, however, fled from police, leading to a pursuit that concluded near I-45 and Gulf Bank.
Recognizing the futility of escape, the driver ultimately surrendered to officers without further incident. The driver was taken into custody and charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle (UUMV) and Evading Arrest. The passenger was also arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (PCS).
This successful resolution was made possible by the swift and coordinated response of SHPD officers. The Shenandoah Police Department extends its sincere thanks to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office for their valuable assistance.
Another example of strong interagency cooperation and commitment to public safety.
