Woodlands Online’s Summer Camp Guide lets kids be kids and parents be adults

THE WOODLANDS, TX – School is out for the summer in all the local school districts and private schools as well. With the exception of summer classes for those trying to catch up (or get ahead) or field trips or long vacations, the next couple of months at least will see the school empty of kiddos.

Studies indicate that a significant portion of children stay at home during the summer break, with approximately 17 percent of families having their children stay home alone; additionally, 21 percent of children would have to stay home for the majority of the summer break due to financial constraints.

This means that a substantial number of children are not participating in camps, day trips, or other activities during the summer months. Fortunately, The Woodlands area is filled with camps of all genres, times, and costs to cater to all families living locally.
