We’re officially in June, which means we’re a few weeks away from the official start of summer; on the other hand, before the end of the month we’ll be enjoying shorter days. And the days of highs above the 90s are still a little while away. Enjoy this ‘sweet spot’ with some amazing events.

There are dozens – if not hundreds – of summer camp options for your kiddos all over The Woodlands area. From robotics to arts, from soccer to cheer, from arts to nature, there’s a camp for your students to enjoy over the summer break. Monday, June 2
Kick off your week with Tabletop Social Monday at The Blue Lion Pub. Bring your favorite board games, card games, or tabletop RPGs and gather your friends – or make new ones – as you play the night away in their vibrant, welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re a casual gamer or a seasoned strategist, there's a seat at the table for you. Bring your own games or join an open table. There will be craft cocktails, cold pints, and specialty drinks, along with friendly vibes and a perfect setting for play.

Tuesday, June 3
The theme for Two Tones Dueling Piano Bar’s June Ladies Night Bingo is ‘Dress as Your Dad’ in honor of Father’s Day. And they want you to bring your dad, grandpa, father figure, or whichever male role model to do a daddy daughter date night. Musical bingo, costume contest, singing, dancing, and great drinks all for $12 a ticket. Tag someone who would love this and get a group together to celebrate the dads in our lives!

Tuesday, June 3
Perimenopause/Menopause is a normal and natural transition for every woman, but all too often women feel alone trying to understand their symptoms, moods, and body changes. The Westin’s ‘Let’s Talk About Menopause’ roundtable discussion event is designed to normalize this time in a woman’s life and to allow women to feel comfortable discussing it. This guided conversation will be led by Sandra Huskey, the Westin Wellness Concierge. This is a free community event and will be held in a private meeting room at the Westin. Coffee and light refreshments will be served. Reservations are required and space is limited.

Wednesday, June 4
Join the Spring Creek Greenway Nature Center in the Wildlife Room for a great nature-themed story followed by a visit from one of their animal ambassadors. This program is geared towards preschool age children. Space is limited so please arrive on time.

Thursday, June 5
Shadow Puppet Theatre at The Woodlands Children’s Museum presents “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” by Eric Carle. This beloved classic follows the little caterpillar with a voracious appetite throughout his life cycle, culminating in his transformation into a beautiful butterfly. Included in the price of admission, which is $9 for adults and children 1 year and older. Shadow Puppet Theatre is an introduction to storytelling elements that allow readers and audience to interact directly with each other.

Thursday, June 5
Come out to the back side of The Woodlands Mall every Thursday at 7 p.m. for free, family-friendly outdoor movies under the stars all during the summer. Bring a blanket and relax on The Lawn, or enjoy the show while dining on one of their restaurant patios. Plus, you never know when surprise giveaways or samples might pop up. Tonight’s Movie on the Lawn is Inside Out 2, something for the entire family.

Parents, are you finding yourselves in dire need of some quality adult alone time? Then leave the kids with Woodlands Sportsplex’ trained staff for a fun-filled evening while you enjoy a well-deserved break. Runs 7 - 10 p.m. for kiddos ages 5 - 12. Only $25 per child, with pizza and water served.

Victory for Veterans is calling all motorcyclists, classic car enthusiasts, and community supporters to participate in its annual 149-mile fundraising ride and dice run. This event is meant to educate and fund critical mental health resources and suicide prevention initiatives for veterans and first responders. Proceeds will support the development and expansion of wellness centers nationwide, providing essential services to those who have dedicated their lives to serving our country and communities. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m., but you are encouraged to register online in advance. Participants can enjoy a discounted breakfast followed by beer and snacks after the ride.
