Small Fire Contained at Indian Springs H-E-B; No Injuries Reported
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- At approximately 6:52 AM this morning, The Woodlands Fire Department responded to a reported fire at the H-E-B store located in the Indian Springs Village Center.
Upon arrival, firefighters were directed to the store’s meat market area, where a fire in a ventilation fan had already been extinguished by quick-acting H-E-B employees. Fire crews confirmed the fire was fully out and safely de-energized the affected unit.
The cause of the fire was determined to be an electrical short in the ventilation fan. Thanks to the swift and effective response by H-E-B staff, damage was limited to the ventilation unit, and no injuries were reported.
The store has resumed normal operations following safety checks and confirmation that the area was secure.
