The Woodlands Township Launches New Website

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Woodlands Township has launched its newly redesigned website, offering a more modern, mobile-responsive and user-friendly platform tailored to meet the evolving needs of residents and internal departments. The updated site went live in a soft rollout on May 14, 2025, with the official rollout on May 30.
The new site replaces the Township’s previous website, which had been in service since 2016. Designed with a focus on user experience, the redesigned site features intuitive navigation, a clean layout and improved accessibility. It also introduces enhanced functionality through the OpenCities content management system by Granicus, which was awarded the redevelopment contract in February 2024.
Among the most anticipated upgrades for the new website is the address lookup tool, which enables residents to enter their home address and receive customized information specific to their property. This includes trash and recycling collection schedules, village association, law enforcement agency, water and electricity providers and whether the home is located in Montgomery or Harris County. The tool is expected to significantly improve customer service response times for both residents and Township staff.
“This new website is more than just a facelift—it’s a comprehensive upgrade in how we deliver services and information to our community,” said Township Director of Communications LeaAnn Petersen. “From improved search features to a fully mobile-friendly experience, we designed this platform with residents’ needs front and center.”
Residents are encouraged to explore the new website and provide feedback to help guide future enhancements. The new platform will continue to evolve to better serve the community.
