MAGNOLIA, TX -- At about 2:00 AM on Thursday, deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to a business alarm in the 6000 block of FM 1488. Upon arrival, deputies observed the front glass of the business had been shattered. While reviewing surveillance footage with a business representative, deputies were provided a description of a male suspect seen fleeing the scene on a bicycle.

Deputies immediately began canvassing the area and quickly located a male matching the description. The suspect, identified as Kaleb Andrew Barrick, 18, of Conroe, Texas, was taken into custody without incident and found in possession of stolen property from the business. Barrick was booked into the Montgomery County Jail and charged with Burglary of a Building.

Sheriff Wesley Doolittle praised the deputies’ response and emphasized the agency’s commitment to public safety: “This is a great example of our deputies demonstrating the S.T.A.R. values of this agency-Service, Teamwork, Accountability, and Respect,” said Sheriff Wesley Doolittle. “Their quick response and strong teamwork led to the arrest of the suspect so he could be held accountable, and to the recovery of the stolen property. We have zero tolerance for crime in Montgomery County, and let this be a message: if you commit a crime here, we will catch you. I’m proud of the outstanding work our team does every day.”
