Sterling Ridge Village Association awards scholarships to students, donations to schools
THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Sterling Ridge Village Association recently announced that it awarded scholarships to eight outstanding and qualified local high school students planning to pursue higher education. These students residing in the Village of Sterling Ridge were selected by committee, recognizing outstanding achievements along with the spirit of community involvement and citizenship among high school students. Formal awards were handed out at the Village Association's May monthly meeting. Each scholar was given $2,000 towards their 2025 school tuition.
The students who received scholarships included:
- Madeline Bowling - The Woodlands College Park High School
- Victoria Ou - The Woodlands College Park High School
- Nikita D'Souza - The Woodlands College Park High School
- Isabella Del Toro - The Woodlands High School
- Sergio Rodriguez - The Woodlands High School
- Medha Suraj - The Woodlands College Park High School
- Haley Erickson - The Woodlands High School
- Emma Kurn - The Woodlands High School
These scholarships are intended to recognize and encourage a spirit of community involvement and citizenship among high school students residing in the Village of Sterling Ridge. Qualifying students are residents of Sterling Ridge in high school that will attend higher education, including trade schools, in the following school year. The association is able to provide these scholarships each year thanks to the generous sponsors of its fundraising events including the Kid’s Festival and Golf Tournament.
The association also announced that it provided school grants of $2,500 for each of the village’s three local elementary schools. Principals and representatives from Coulson Tough Elementary, Deretchin Elementary, and Ellisor Elementary received their checks and shared how they will be able to apply this new funding in the coming months.
