Celebrate Liberty, Justice and Arts Access for All at Star-Spangled Salute

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Join The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on Thursday, July 3 for Star-Spangled Salute presented by Exxon Mobil, a beloved Woodlands tradition that brings our community together under the stars for a night of music, unity and celebration.
Star-Spangled Salute continues its legacy as more than just a concert. It’s a movement both symphonic and patriotic. For decades this free family-friendly event has served as a first introduction to the arts for countless children. Many of them now return as parents to share the same magic with a new generation.
The Pavilion is proud to partner with Artists in Arms, a local veteran-led arts nonprofit, for this special event. As part of their Operation: GameChanger initiative, the group will host a booth collecting new art supplies to support underfunded school art programs in our community. This effort not only helps ensure students have the tools to explore their creativity, but also empowers local veterans through meaningful service and community connection. Want to help? “The Star-Spangled Salute is about more than festive moments and patriotic fanfare,” said Jeff Young, President and CEO. “It reflects our mission to create meaningful cultural experiences and ensure the arts are accessible to all, regardless of background or circumstance.”
Attendees can expect a rousing musical performance featuring a full orchestra performance, preceded by a dynamic women’s chorus, stirring tributes to our nation’s heroes and special appearances by your favorite patriotic characters. The evening will also include fun free giveaways for all ages and the joyful atmosphere of neighbors gathering on The Pavilion lawn for a shared celebration. Whether it’s your first time or your fifteenth, Star-Spangled Salute is a tradition that welcomes you with open arms.
Guests are welcome to bring a picnic from home or their favorite restaurant to enjoy in their seat or on the hill. Keep in mind that beverages cannot be brought into The Pavilion and picnics must also comply with The Pavilion’s bag size restriction and/or be in original packaging.
Families are encouraged to enhance their performing arts experience with Mini Pavilion Maestros, a free and exciting program that makes the arts both fun and accessible for kids of all ages. By signing up for Mini Pavilion Maestros, children will receive: a special membership lanyard and badge, free reserved seating at all performing arts events, early entry for select shows, a free ticket to Children’s Festival and other great perks throughout the season.
