South Regional Library to Temporarily Close Ahead of Relocation to New Facility

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The South Regional Library, a branch of the Montgomery County Memorial Library System (MCMLS), will be closed to the public beginning Saturday, July 26, 2025, in preparation for its relocation to a brand-new facility.

Beginning Friday, July 25, all South Regional Library holds will be transferred to and available for pickup at the George & Cynthia Woods Mitchell Library. Patrons are advised that the South Regional Library book drop will close on Monday, July 28, and no returns should be made at that location. Library materials, including Interlibrary Loans (ILLs), may be returned at any MCMLS branch.

The South Regional Library will reopen in September 2025 as the Kevin Brady Library, located at 2550 Buckthorne Place, The Woodlands, TX. This new state-of-the-art facility is designed to better serve the growing needs of the community with expanded resources and modern amenities.
