MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office successfully apprehended two individuals suspected of multiple burglaries following a traffic stop.

On July 16, 2025, Deputies assigned to the East Patrol Division initiated a traffic stop on two vehicles traveling together for speeding. The occupants were identified as Cristian Sanchez and Kevin Reynoso, both from Houston, Texas.

During the stop, Deputies became suspicious when they observed several new kitchen appliances in the rear of one of the vehicles. This discovery, coupled with inconsistencies in the individuals' statements, led Deputies to detain both parties and contact Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division for further assistance.

Detectives quickly arrived on the scene and, through their investigation, were able to link Sanchez and Reynoso to recent burglaries of new homes in the Splendora area of Montgomery County.

Both Sanchez and Reynoso were taken into custody and each charged with two counts of Burglary of Habitation. They have been transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

The investigation is still ongoing to determine the full extent of their criminal activities and the total impact on the community. All recovered property will be returned to its rightful owners.
