Rapid Response Contained Apartment Fire at Trailpoint Apartments in The Woodlands

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- At approximately 6:24 PM this evening, The Woodlands Fire Department (TWFD) was dispatched to reports of a fire accompanied by an explosion at the Trailpoint Apartments, located at 2301 S. Millbend Drive.

Upon arrival, Engine 103 was first on the scene and reported heavy smoke coming from an apartment in Building 6. Fire crews from Engine 103 and Truck 101 initiated an aggressive offensive attack and successfully achieved a rapid knockdown of the fire. Firefighters quickly checked adjacent apartments for fire extension, ensuring containment and safety for surrounding units.

Thanks to the rapid response and decisive action of fire personnel, damage was limited to the apartment of origin, with only light smoke and water damage reported in the neighboring units. There were no injuries reported.

TWFD was supported by South Montgomery County Fire Department, Timber Lakes Volunteer Fire Department, Montgomery County Hospital District, and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office.
