THE WOODLANDS, TX -- For families seeking a youth basketball experience focused on more than just games, Coach Deon’s leagues offer a development-first approach designed specifically for beginners and developing players ages 6 to 15. Each league session runs for four weeks and combines weekly skill development with live, competitive games—giving players the structure they need to grow both in confidence and ability.

Coach Deon is recognized across The Woodlands as one of the most dedicated youth coaches in the area. His leagues are intentionally capped at just 20 players per division, creating an environment where every athlete gets personal attention, real playing time, and meaningful coaching.

League Format and Structure

Who Can Join
The league is open to boys and girls ages 6–15. Players are grouped by age and skill level to ensure balanced teams and competitive games.

Session Schedule
Each league runs for four weeks. Sessions are held once a week and include one hour of focused skill development followed by one hour of live, officiated gameplay. This unique 'practice and play' format maximizes development while minimizing scheduling conflicts for families.

Location
All practices and games are held at The Woodlands Methodist School – FLC Gym, located at 1915 Lake Front Circle, The Woodlands, TX 77380.

Fall 2025 Session Details
Dates: Saturdays from September 6 through September 27

Divisions:

Girls’ Young Ballers League – Ages 6–7 Starter Division

Girls’ Young Ballers League – Ages 8–10 Rising Division

Boys’ Young Ballers League – Ages 6–7 Starter Division

Boys’ Young Ballers League – Ages 8–10 Rising Division

5th–6th Grade Boys Elevate League

7th–9th Grade Boys Inspire League

Girls’ 5th–8th Grade Select League (held Fridays, 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM)

Times: Saturday sessions run between 2:30 PM and 8:30 PM, depending on division

Cost: $175 per player (uniform included, must be returned or $25 fee applies)

Players are evaluated and grouped into balanced teams following the first practice. Every player receives consistent coaching and playing time throughout the season.
