Conroe Man Arrested in March Homicide; Zachary Savant Charged with Murder of Don Dixon Jr.

CONROE, TX -- The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit has arrested Zachary Carroll Savant, 36, in connection with the murder of Don Dixon Jr, 37.

The investigation into Dixon's suspicious death began on Saturday, March 29, 2025 in Conroe, TX. Savant was identified as a suspect during the course of the investigation and was formally charged with Murder on July 31, 2025. He is currently being held in the Montgomery County Jail.
