The Woodlands Fire Department Assists with Major House Fire in Gleneagle Neighborhood

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Just before midnight on Sunday, units from The Woodlands Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the Gleneagle neighborhood, assisting Needham Fire & Rescue/Montgomery County ESD #4.

Dispatched to the scene were Truck 101, Engine 102, Rescue 101, and Battalion 102. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy smoke billowing from a two-story, single-family residence on Woodhollow Drive.

Crews initiated an aggressive interior attack and quickly located significant fire activity in the home’s attic. Firefighters worked for 45 minutes to bring the blaze under control. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

Additional support at the scene was provided by the Conroe Fire Department, Montgomery County Hospital District, and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office.
