THE WOODLANDS, TX -- On September 5, 2025, Constable Ryan Gable’s Criminal Investigation Division and Criminal Interdiction Unit executed a search warrant in the 29100 block of Interstate 45 as part of an ongoing criminal investigation.

During this operation, a Montgomery County Pct. 3 Constable’s Deputy tried to make contact with an adult male in his vehicle, who was suspected to be linked to the investigation. The deputy asked the man to exit his vehicle, but he refused. Despite multiple requests from the deputy for the man to leave the vehicle, he remained uncooperative. The deputy then attempted to physically remove the man from the vehicle, at which point the man became combative. He then put his truck in drive and sped away at a high speed, dragging the deputy for a brief moment. The deputy sustained minor injuries and was taken to Memorial Herman Hospital in The Woodlands.

Pct. 3 Deputies, with help from the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the Oakridge North Police Department, the Shenandoah Police Department, the Conroe Police Department, the Houston Police Department, and the Texas Department of Public Safety, began searching for the vehicle to find the suspect. The suspect was eventually found at 2301 S. Millbend Dr., in The Woodlands. Pct. 3 Detectives identified the suspect as 37-year-old Daniel Matthew Irwin from The Woodlands, TX. Irwin was arrested without further incident and charged with Assault on a Peace Officer, a second-degree felony. He was booked into the Montgomery County Jail, where he is currently being held.
Constable Gable expressed his gratitude for all of the law enforcement agencies who assisted in this incident.
