Traffic Alert – FM 1488 Widening Project Traffic Switch Scheduled

MAGNOLIA, TX -- The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) contractor overseeing the FM 1488 Widening Project has notified the City of Magnolia of an upcoming traffic switch as part of ongoing construction improvements.

When:

Nighttime operations on September 10 and 11, 2025

What to Expect:

• Traffic will be shifted from the existing asphalt pavement to newly constructed concrete pavement along a designated section of FM 1488.
• Electronic sign boards have been placed in the area to provide advance warning to motorists.

The City of Magnolia urges all drivers to exercise caution and allow extra travel time while navigating the new traffic pattern.
