Felony Fugitive Arrested in Montgomery County After Failure to Register as Sex Offender

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- On September 9, 2025, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Operators, deputized as Task Force Officers with the United States Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force, arrested wanted fugitive David Allen Collins.

Collins, 67, was wanted on a felony warrant out of Montgomery County for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. He was taken into custody without incident and is currently confined in the Montgomery County Jail.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office commends the professionalism and precision of its SWAT Operators for safely bringing this dangerous individual into custody. This successful arrest also reflects a decade of strong partnership with the United States Marshals Service, working side by side to ensure fugitives are brought to justice and our communities remain safe.
