Smoke Alarm Alerts Resident to Fire in Eastshore Home
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- At 10:23 a.m. Thursday, The Woodlands Fire Department responded to a report of smoke inside a residence on Olmsted Row in the Eastshore neighborhood.
Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a smoldering fire in the attic that had also involved a solar roof panel. Crews worked simultaneously from both the roof and attic to bring the fire under control. Thanks to their quick response, the blaze was extinguished with only limited damage to the home.
The resident was alerted to the fire by a working smoke alarm, underscoring the importance of early detection. #SmokeAlarmsSaveLives
Investigators determined the fire was accidental, caused by an electrical issue.
