First America Homes Taps Industry Veteran John Winniford as President

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- First America Homes, an award-winning homebuilder and a division of real estate developer The Signorelli Company, announces John Winniford has joined the firm as president. Winniford will oversee the firm’s operations across its communities in Greater Houston and San Antonio, while also prioritizing future expansion into Dallas and other additional Texas markets.

Winniford’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for First America as the firm continues to enhance its product offering, optimize processes and implement growth strategies. With 30 years of experience in the homebuilding industry, Winniford brings a deep expertise, customer-centric mentality and a seasoned leader’s perspective that will fuel continued growth and innovation across First America Homes.

Prior to The Signorelli Company, Winniford served as president and CEO of Brightland Homes (previously Gehan Homes) for nearly a decade, leading the organization in delivering 22,000 homes since 2016. He originally joined the company in 2006 as division president for the Dallas- Fort Worth region. As CEO, he led the company’s land and acquisitions strategy, which propelled expansion into the Colorado, Florida and Tennessee markets. Under his leadership, Brightland accelerated its annual closings and launched multiple new product segments, with a focus on first-time homebuyers and the expansion of first- and second-time move-up segments.

He is a Texas A&M University alumnus with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance.
