Kitchen Fire at Fielding’s Restaurant Quickly Contained by The Woodlands Fire Department

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- At approximately 11:18 AM, The Woodlands Fire Department (TWFD) was dispatched to Fielding’s restaurant, located at 1699 Research Forest, following reports of a kitchen fire.

Engine 101 was first on the scene and observed heavy smoke coming from the roof of the strip center, with patrons and employees evacuating the premises. Firefighters quickly entered the building and discovered the fire originating within the cooking ventilation system. Crews worked simultaneously from inside the restaurant and on the roof to access and extinguish the fire.

Thanks to the swift response, fire damage was confined to the ventilation system and roof. Other businesses in the strip center experienced minimal impact, limited to light smoke and minor water damage in one suite. Plains Capital Bank and Capital Title have since reopened. Houston Eye Associates will remain closed today as a precaution.

The Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire. TWFD received assistance at the scene from Needham Fire & Rescue/Montgomery County ESD #4, Montgomery County Hospital District, and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
